That is actually a great thing, even if my Trillian PRO already does that since a long time, and for different networks (but not skype), and a great thing for Google to display ads. Like seen on outer-court Blog not so long ago, Google will display ads everywhere very soon.

A big french company doing mostly SEO, and a little more has problems again, one of its clients BMW has been blacklisted by Google. (actually by mattcuts he self).
What I think :
- Never work with big SEO companies that list their clients specially if they use black-hat SEO techniques.
- Google makes public such cases because it is hard for them to handle really, fear factor powered.

Example of Google Spam

How you can make it like Randy, and spam the index, it is easy, and legal, the only risk is to be blacklisted by the search engine.

Now, yu can use Gmail as a business mail software, easy just make a redirection from your mail account to your @gmail.com account, and add some from mails to your gmail, so you can choose to send out emails with your personal profesional or even Gmail adress. Thats cool.
Gmail: Help Center - How do I customize the ‘From:’ address on outgoing mail?
How do I customize the ‘From:’ address on outgoing mail?
If you’d like your outgoing Gmail messages to display another one of your email addresses in the ‘From:’ field (instead of your Gmail address), just follow these easy steps:
1. Log in to your Gmail account.
2. Click ‘Settings’ along the top of any page, and then select the ‘Accounts’ tab.
3. Click ‘Add another email address’ in the ‘Send mail as:’ section.
4. Enter your full name in the ‘Name:’ field, and the email address you’d like to send messages from in the ‘Email address:’ field.

Google base is out, finally google will control everything
, question is, will that be spammed someway, i just posted something, will there be possibility to get some links ? (didnt test html for now). Or just one possibility more to display ads, but content is not deep content, will be erased after 31 days. (Nor more avaible space by Google ?)
Official Google Blog: First Base
Today we’re excited to announce Google Base, an extension of our existing content collection efforts like web crawl, Google Sitemaps, Google Print and Google Video. Google Base enables content owners to easily make their information searchable online. Anyone, from large companies to website owners and individuals, can use it to submit their content in the form of data items. We’ll host the items and make them searchable for free. There’s more info here.

New service From, Google, I am testing straight away.
Ok, right now, its kind of slow, very slow, but promising, 200 dollar/month stuff for free.
We’re upgrading accounts. Please come back later.
Thanks for stopping by. We are currently migrating existing customers to the newly improved Google Analytics service. This process will be completed later this afternoon. Please come back then to sign up for Google Analytics
But I suppose, some other providers are less happy than myself now, (in France Xiti for example)….
Google Analytics
Google Analytics tells you everything you want to know about how your visitors found you and how they interact with your site. You’ll be able to focus your marketing resources on campaigns and initiatives that deliver ROI, and improve your site to convert more visitors.
other sites about that :
- WRI (in french)

Overall, Google Analytics should be a hot topic at the WebmasterWorld conference this week. Some people will care a lot about the AdWords features, but plenty of people will want to use it just for tracking. Now, I wonder who I’d talk to on the Analytics team to get them to offer a web counter service..
SEJ
Google has finally spun Urchin into a new Google branded analytics tool which Google is offering for free to site publishers; Google Analytics. Well, its free up to 5 million pageviews per month, so if you have a fairly high traffic site in need of analytics, Google requests that such sites do have an active AdWords account.

In answer to the multiple web services of Google, like the personal Google Homepage, Gmail, and a probable future online Office suite (other providers do that already), Msn lauched Windows live, where it is possible to handle RSS feeds, Office documents, and of course all that with nice AJAX technology, all that for free, and financed with ads of course (I love adblock).
- Google innovation helps, as it makes Microsoft wake up, and propose new stuff
- Perhaps one day, the start for everything will be a browser and no more the OS, that will be secondary, no more monopole of Microsoft, and thats good
- New ad locations, more ads : the war is, who will be able to show more
Other sites speak also about this news :
